India won the Kava women's volleyball title

 


Kathmandu: India has won the Kava Women's Volleyball Nations League title. 

On Wednesday afternoon, Nepal lost to India by 3-2 sets in the title match in the covered hall at the National Sports Council (Rakhep) complex in Tripureshwar.

Nepal won 25-23 in the first set. India lost 25-14 in the second set. Nepal won again 25-22 in the third set and lost 25-21 in the fourth set. 

In the last decisive set match, Nepal was stunned by India 15-5.

India had previously won the 2019 South Asian Games and the 2023 Kava Women's Challenge Cup over Nepal.
 
Iran secured third place in the league. 

Iran defeated Sri Lanka in the third place match on Wednesday.

Nepal, Iran, India, Sri Lanka and Maldives participated in the tournament.
